If you display ads on your wordpress site, this may interest you. What if instead of manually going into your your theme’s widgets or core files and adding your ads, you could add all of your ads to a single file and have them display randomly at various places on your site? With the Thesis Wordpress Theme and its awesome hook system, this just became a whole lot easier.

This site has been set up a demo site to show you just what I’m talking about. You’ll see three places (before the post content, below the post content, before the sidebars) where I have random rotating banner ads. For this demonstration, I’ve loaded 6 125×125 banners and set it to randomly display 3 of them at these various places but you can set as many ads as you want, at any size, and choose how many (3 in this example) you want to display.

Want to do something like this on your site? First of all, if you aren’t already using The Thesis Wordpress Theme, you need to seriously consider getting it. Once you have Thesis running on your site, check out the Rotating Ads for Thesis Tutorial I’ve put together on the Thesis Support Forums and you’ll have your rotating ads up and running on your Thesis powered site in no time!
